As we mentioned in a previous post, we are in the process of doing some upgrades and improvements to Stony point hall. The main and most labor intensive of these is a refinished floor! Stony point hall has been open for 9 years and counting, over that time we have seen a ton of traffic and our stained concrete floor has gained a lot of wear. During the last month we have been putting in lots of man hours stripping it all down and applying a new look. here is a before look at the floor.
The process has been a long one here is Trevor diligently working to get the wax, a layer of polyurethane, and previous stain off the floor. (easier said than done) and Staci and Kyle hanging new lanterns in the hall since the previous ones were becoming an off white color.
And today we were all on our hands and knees getting the first base coat of stain to the floor, it is quite a dramatic change! We also did some upkeep and recoloring to the sink in the women’s restroom I think it turned out quite nice.
Stay tuned for a sneak peek at the finished product!
