While we all hope you don’t have a need for an emergency kit on your big day things are bound to happen you did not foresee. We have put together a list of things to bring in a little tote bag so you are ready for anything life may throw at you.
Here are some essentials to creating your own emergency kit
- Band-aids (for blistered heels or your average cuts and scrapes)
- Bottles of water (lets face it we all get thirsty)
- Breath mints/spray (while we may not want to admit it we all need these sometimes)
- Aspirin or other pain reliever (to help fight off those stress headaches)
- Cash (because you never know)
- Comb/Brush (Everyone needs to look their best)
- Chalk (to cover up smudges or smears on your wedding dress in a pinch)
- Dental floss/toothpicks (no one wants pictures with things in their teeth)
- Corsage pins (for reattaching those stubborn things)
- Eye drops (camera red eye is bad enough you don’t need the real thing on top of it)
- Extra earring backs (we have all lost one at some point)
- Hair Spray (sometimes those strays just won’t stay down)
- Hairpins/ponytail holder (i hate it when these things break on me)
- Hand towelettes (when you need something off your hands..fast)
- Hem tape (for those “oh crap” moments)
- Makeup (for touch-ups)
- Matches (not for starting fires..unless they are candles of course)
- Mini sewing kit (for lace that refuses to stay attached)
- Mirror (to make sure you look great)
- Perfume (to make sure you SMELL great)
- Nail file (for last minute snag fixes)
- Safety pins (lets face it when don’t they come in handy?)
- Small scissors (paired with the sewing kit you should be ready for anything)
- Scotch tape (sometimes you just want to stick something to something else)
- Smelling salts (okay this one is probably not needed but you NEVER know)
- Spot remover (for when your aunt tina spills her wine on your dress)
- Static-cling spray (you may be a little TOO electrifying)
- Tissues (for wiping tears away hopefully ones of joy)
- Tweezers (for hard to grab things)
- Tampons/sanitary napkins (when it’s time it’s time)
- Straws (so you can stay hydrated without mussing your lipstick)
- A little bit of chocolate (common now, who does not love this stuff)
Gathering all (or some) of these emergency kit items to bring with you should help you feel more confident that you are ready to tackle anything thrown at you on your big day!
