Here is another Douglas County 1055 construction update from the Douglas County Public Works Department. 

“Our schedule has shifted a few weeks. We expect the bridge replacement contractor to start on July 6th. Route 1055 will be closed on or after that date. The road will reopen when the project is complete in September or October depending on weather.”

There will be “Stony Point Hall” detour signs on Hwy 56 directing guests to 59 Hwy then north to the Douglas County 460/650 exit. 

Guests arriving from the north (Kansas City, Topeka, Lawrence) will not experience and detour.
